MCT makes donation to MCPS Educational Foundation in honor of National Education Week
January 14, 2010
Last month, MCT donated funds to the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Educational Foundation, Inc. for every individual who became an MCT member during National Education Week, which ran between November 16 and 21. In total, MCT donated over $500 to the Foundation.
"We are delighted to have MCT’s involvement with the Foundation and look forward to increasing our relationship with the Credit Union by exploring ways we can assist one another in building business and raising donations for scholarships and grants for MCPS students and teachers,” says Jon Enten, MCPS Educational Foundation Board Chairman.
“We chose to donate funds to the MCPS Educational Foundation since its mission aligns so closely with MCT’s community outreach mission of supporting schools and students,” explains MCT’s School Relationship Manager, Stacie Shapero.
The MCPS Educational Foundation awards funds to schools and staff for projects designed to provide innovative educational programs for students. Foundation also awards need-based scholarships to graduating MCPS high school seniors.
