MCT wins state-wide business award second year in a row
October 5, 2009
MCT was recently named one of Maryland’s exceptional 53 companies by The Gazette of Politics and Business at an awards ceremony at the Doubletree Hotel in Bethesda. MCT was recognized for its innovation through products and services that cater to the Montgomery County Public Schools, its community service programs—including its in-school branch program—and its focus on using research and employee feedback to enhance its workplace.
MCT’s President and CEO, Thom Beck, was pleased to be named as one of Maryland’s exceptional companies for the second year in a row. “As our Montgomery County Public Schools members begin the 2009-2010 school year, we continue to strengthen our relationship with them and continue to improve MCT’s efficiency and performance through our exciting strategic vision.
The P&B awards program, produced by The Gazette of Politics and Business , acknowledges the top 53 businesses and organizations in Maryland based on criteria that includes the recipient company’s annual revenue and employee growth, as well as noteworthy product or service innovations, community service efforts, how they have steered their way through the economic downturn and how the companies portrayed themselves as “good places to work.”
“I applaud these exceptional Maryland businesses that are consistently on the leading edge of innovation and doing their part to help through their pro-active community service programs. To make the 53 list is a great accomplishment,” said Cliff Chiet, publisher of The Gazette of Politics and Business.
