MCT voted Excellent Place to Work seventh year in a row

The Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) recently announced that MCT will receive the Workplace Excellence Award for the seventh year in a row. After undergoing a comprehensive evaluation process run by an independent review panel of industrial and organizational experts, MCT was selected as an employer committed to providing balanced leadership through inclusive and flexible corporate culture and management practices; family- and employee-friendly policies and programs; strong health and wellness practices and programs; growth and learning opportunities; and a commitment to corporate, social, and civic responsibility.
“We are ecstatic to be recognized for all the programs we offer that better our employees’ work environment,” says Sandra Gura, Director of Organizational Development. “At MCT, we place a strong focus on professional development programs so that everyone in the organization receives the opportunity to grow and develop. As a result of these development programs, staff members are more satisfied with their work and more professional opportunities at MCT are opened up to them down the line.”
Rebecca Del Balzo, Branch Operations Manager and MCT employee for 34 years, has seen MCT’s learning and development programs evolve a great deal over the years. “I feel that our one-week new employee orientation is excellent, because it does a great job of providing employees with the knowledge and confidence to be able to promote the value and mission of MCT throughout their experience with us,” says Del Balzo.
MCT will officially accept the 2009 Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval, along with 55 other companies around the Greater D.C. area, at the AWE Annual Awards Luncheon on June 3, 2009 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
