MCT's 2010 Annual Meeting

All members are invited to attend MCT’s 60th annual meeting, to be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  No RSVP is necessary.  

This year’s meeting will be held at the Carver Education Service Center Auditorium, located at 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, MD.  For directions, please click here. 

The following individuals have been nominated to fill three vacancies on the Board of Directors:

Dr. Marsha Boveja Riggio (incumbent)

Dr. Riggio is employed as a Faculty Associate at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Counseling and Human Services.  She is also a licensed psychotherapist and consults/volunteers with several educational and counseling groups in the metropolitan area.  Previous to these positions Dr. Riggio worked as the Program Director of the Rosemount Center for Head Start families and as the Director of Research of Retirement Living TV; she also served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 15 years. Dr. Riggio has been a member of MCT’s Board of Directors for 6 years and a member of MCT for over 15 years. She resides in Montgomery County with her husband and children.

Yung Yi Chen (incumbent)

Mr. Chen joined the Supervisory Committee at MCT in the spring of 1984 and served on this committee for three years, the last year as Chairperson.  Mr. Chen has been a member of the Board of Directors since March 1987 and currently serves on the Financial Plan and Compensation Committees.  Mr. Chen retired from Montgomery County Public Schools in 2002 after 32 years of service in MCPS Business Systems Development and Implementation. 

“I continue to use my 40 years of business problem solving experience in human resources, finance, and budget at MCPS in guiding MCT toward excellence through the current challenging economic conditions. ”

Hyman L. Krieger (incumbent)

Mr. Krieger has been a member of the Board since 1998 and has served on the Supervisory Committee and as Treasurer.  His Board committee assignments have included Nominating, Legislative, Compensation, and Technology.  Mr. Krieger’s career in public service includes both government and the nonprofit sector.  His career in the US General Accounting Office spanned 34 years, and included managing the Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Washington regional offices.  At present, Mr. Krieger is associated with the Office of Shared Accountability, MCPS.  He is a CPA and has completed the Advanced Management Program of Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
