Benefits
A brief summary of the benefits offered...
Medical
- Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following 30 consecutive calendar days of employment.
- Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield; Blue Choice HMO, Blue Choice Open Access or Blue Preferred.
- MCT pays 90% of the employee premium and 75% of remaining premium for full-time employees working at least 35 hours/week.
- MCT pays 50% of the total premium for part-time employees working at least 20 hours/week.
Dental
- Carefirst Regional Traditional – MCT pays 85% of the employee premium and 50% of remaining premium for full-time employees working at least 35 hours/week.
- MCT pays 75% of the employee premium for part-time employees working at least 20 hours/weeek.
Vision
- Carefirst – Integrated with Carefirst medical insurance.
- VSP – Employees are responsible for 100% of the premium.
Flexible Spending Accounts
- Employees are eligible to allocate pre-taxed dollars for medical and/or dependant care expenses.

401(k) plan
- Employees are eligible at age 21 and must have completed three months of service during which they have worked at least 250 hours. MCT will match 100% of the first 6% of the employee contribution (4% safe harbor match, 2% discretionary match subject to vesting schedule).

Transportation Subsidy
- Employees who commute using public transportation are eligible to receive a maximum monthly benefit of $50.00.
Educational Assistance Program
- Employees are eligible following completion of 90 days of service. Maximum annual benefit of $3500 for undergraduate and certification courses. Maximum annual benefit of $5000 for graduate courses.
Paid Time Off
- Employees are granted paid time off upon their date of hire (based on hours worked and length of service).

Bereavement Leave
- Employees are eligible for time off with pay in the event of death in their immediate family.
